Dear Valued Supporter:

Columbia Basin Disabilities Unlimited (CBDU) is a Tri-Cities based non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide and promote sports and recreational activities for individuals with physical disabilities. To further our goals, CBDU has become an active participant in the community. We sponsor the Tri-City Wheel draggers, the only wheelchair basketball team in the Tri-Cities. CBDU has been a team participant in Walk America since 1983, raising money for the March of Dimes. We also have the only wheelchair tennis program in Eastern Washington. CBDU members have been active advocates on community issues ranging from housing to transportation.

Our members are constantly pursuing new challenges. Towards that end, CBDU is currently raising funds to purchase sports equipment. Sports activities promote cardiovascular workout and body fitness. Having this equipment creates opportunities for participation in many sporting activities such as basketball, tennis, wheelchair racing and hand cycle bike riding, as well as contributing to our members’ health and well-being.

CBDU does not receive funding from agencies such as United Way. Our members conduct various fund raising activities throughout the year, but in large measure our funding depends on the generosity of local businesses and individuals. Any contribution you can make to help with the support of our organization is greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. CBDU is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization).
